J as in Jealousy

Read an interesting blog  about  jealousy . Sharing the link below

http://anoptimistic.wordpress.com/2014/10/31/j-for-something-i-have-not-written-about-since-long

There will be some people who don't like you or are jealous of you for whatever reasons . You don't have to think too much about it.  It has nothing to do with you . You can't keep impressing everyone .
We are  not Facebook status that everyone should like us . As long as you aren't doing anything wrong and not hurting anyone intentionally , we are on right track .

We are not hear to prove others . As long we are improving ourselves and working on our weaknesses, that is more  important .

People are really mean sometimes . They just make use of your goodness.

Another Cute Ad which I have seen  long back  , but today it gave another meaning . When I felt  people are mean . This ad really bought a smile on my face .

I started with a bitter feeling , but ending on a happy note . Lets not be judgmental .  If people are mean , lets not be like them . They are teaching us a lesson not to be like them .

Think about it

Listening to a radio program   , one of my favourite program which RJ Prutvi hosts  on Radio One .  .He was telling  Celebrate Everything . Can we start doing that ? Celebrating Everything , Every moment . I know there are difficult times but still whats the point in cribbing about if you can't do anything about it .

Yesterday a colleague of mine was telling , someone snatched her iphone when she was walking , he came in a bike , grabbed it . Whats happening in our country ?? In Japan , even if a phone is lying down for few days , nobody touches it . Probably something to think about .

Another video which really made me think . Link posted below .

https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=594224400707283

Can we ask our boys not to make our girls cry ??? I know a lot of guys who have made girls cry .
Something to really ponder .

Another story which I heard in radio today ,   where a gay was arrested for cheating a woman . He married her and didn't reveal the fact that he is a gay . For whatever reasons , its not acceptable . I heard the woman speak to  the RJ today and her condition was pathetic . Glad , she raised her voice and complained . Else it could be happening everyday  . Even I know someone who got married this way . Its really sad . For whatever reasons , they shouldn't hide this fact and spoil a girl s life .

Keep yourself busy

Someone asked Guruji how to overcome  obsessions, lust and desires  and Sri Sri Beautifully answers it by saying keep yourself so occupied that you don't have time to think of such stuffs ,
Nothing should be in excess . It wastes a lot of energy and it can be conserved for  much useful purposes .

When you have lot of free time , all these things bother you . When you have a exam or playing a sport , these things don't even come right...So True !!!

Very well said ..One of the best knowledge which I have read .

So next time you get such thoughts ," KEEP YOURSELF BUSY IN GOOD STUFFS "

Be optimistic

Read this story somewhere , thought of posting it here

A jobless man applied for the position of 'office boy' at Microsoft.
The HR manager interviewed him, then gave him a test: clean the floor. The man passed the test with flying colors.
"You are hired," HR manager informed the applicant, "give me your e-mail address, and I'll send you the application for employment, as well as the date you should report for work.
The man replied " I don't have a computer, or an email!"
"I'm sorry," said the HR manager. "If you don't have an email, that means you do not exist. And we cannot hire persons who do not exist."
The man was very disappointed.
He didn't know what to do. He only had $10 with him. Once that is spent, he won't have any money to buy any food.
He went to the supermarket and bought a crate of tomatoes with his $10.
He went from door to door and sold the tomatoes in less than two hours. He doubled his money.
He repeated the operation three times, and returned home with $60. He realized that he can survive this way. He started to go everyday earlier, and return late.
He doubled or tripled his money every day. Soon, he bought a cart, then a truck. In a very short time, he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles.
Five years later, the man became one of the biggest food retailers in the U. S. He started to plan his family's future, and decided to have a life insurance.
He called an insurance broker, and chose a protection plan.
At the end of the conversation, the broker asked him for his email address.
The man replied: ' I don't have an email.'
The broker was dumbfounded. "You don't have an email, and yet have succeeded in building an empire. Can you imagine what you could have been if you had an email?," he exclaimed.
The man thought for a while, and replied, "an office boy at Microsoft!"

"If you just lost your Job or Just failed an Interview Don't worry be Optimistic..... Good days are on the way and something better is reserved for you."

Happy Diwali

"Happy Diwali  ". Any festival is a time for new beginning and resolutions . This Diwali , some of my resolutions are

1. To be in present moment rather than regretting about past or worrying about the future.

2. To work more smarter  to reach my goals .

3. To be useful to more people around me .

4. To be grateful for everything .

5. To crib and  complain less .

6. To accept people and situations as they are rather than trying to change.

7. Not to get into arguments with anyone. People have their opinions and we can't change them. Not to be judgmental about it.

8.To enjoy every moment to the fullest .

9. Not to be lazy and not to waste time on unnecessary stuffs.

Consciousness

Had a amazing day  yesterday with Sahaj Samadhi Meditation session with Dinesh Bhaiyya  in ashram . Followed by long kriya , then an amazing session with Anandji with new DSN participants.  Loved each and everything of yesterday  . All these made me take one Resolution .

"I wouldn't do anything against my consciousness.  Society defines  what is right and wrong  .I'm not thinking too much of it . But  if something pricks my consciousness , then I won't  be doing it"

It could be small lie or whatever  but if I feel its not right , then I won't do it and if I feel something is right , then I will do it .

Heard a beautiful story yesterday where a boy was drowning in water and a person rescued him . Boy was very grateful to person and told him a  lot of thanks . That Person  told I have saved your life and now make your life worth saving . Lets strive to make our life worth living rather than living a life of mediocrity.

We get disturbed by smallest of small things . Lets not take everybody s garbage and put it on ourselves . We need to strive to live a better life and remain happy .

Success

When I had been for a break with a colleague , I was telling something about my skin . He immediately told me don't care about skin and all , think only about success . Somehow those words keep echoing with me . I felt its kind off true . We worry about petty stuffs , but we need to see the bigger picture . Definition of success may vary from person from person . Whatever he meant , according to me  Success is able to achieve whatever you want  and not being restless , where your mind and body are in your control . Its a  feeling of contentment .

When your mind is not stressed , we are much calmer and can make better decisions .  We can achieve what we intended to . We can get rid of our weaknesses and addictions.

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." -Steve Jobs

Beautiful Knowledge

I used to keep asking myself what I want from Life and Sri Sri gave a perfect answer for it . Guruji says don't keep asking what you want from life , Just ask what you can do to make this a better place to live . We sometimes keep thinking , what I want and spoil our peace of mind . This knowledge  just changes the way you think.

I even read something about  Karma , when someone asked Guruji what is good karma and bad Karma . Sri Sri told bad karma is something  which you don't want others to do it to you , you don't do that to others and one which gives short term pleasure and long term pain is bad karma and one which gives short term pain and long term happiness accounts to good karma . This is such a beautiful knowledge .

Another beautiful thing which I read was about mistakes . We tend to keep finding intentions behind others mistakes . I was recently told about an African tribe that does a most beautiful thing .
When someone does something hurtful and wrong, they take the person to the center of town, and the entire tribe comes and surrounds him. For two days they’ll tell the man every good thing he has ever done.

The tribe believes that every human being comes into the world as GOOD, each of us desiring safety, love, peace, happiness.

But sometimes in the pursuit of those things people make mistakes. The community sees misdeeds as a cry for help.

They band together for the sake of their fellow man to hold him up, to reconnect him with his true Nature, to remind him who he really is, until he fully remembers the truth from which he’d temporarily been disconnected: “I AM GOOD”

This is really so beautiful . We keep on blaming others and ourselves for the mistakes done .Probably we should start practicing it .

Diwali is coming

Yesterday my cab driver was asking whether I would be celebrating Diwali , I told him yes I would be celebrating without bursting crackers .  He was asking me why and I told him   that it causes air ,  noise pollution and complete waste of money . So many kids lose their eye sight . Thanks to crackers . Link below which gives proper picture of harmful effects of fire crackers . Lets create more awareness on the same .

http://theselflessdedicators.wordpress.com/2012/02/24/harmful-effects-of-bursting-crackers/

Lets celebrate this Diwali without causing harm to anyone . Lets spread smiles . Lets not get disturbed for small stuffs . Lets spend more time with ourselves , reconnecting with ourselves . Reflecting on our thoughts rather than bursting crackers and  spoiling the environment .

I got a message from a friend and I thought it was worth sharing here ,

Diwali Is Coming..
When you shop and come back avoid talking about your purchases in the rick / taxi in which you travel. The driver will feel bad because he can't buy the same for his kids.
When you ask your maid to clean the house stand besides her and help her with her work, she will be cleaning two houses this diwali.
When you make some sweets give it to the kachra vala who come to your house, so he may have something nice to hold for a change.
You will surely have a Happy and a Prosperous Diwali, there are other people less fortunate than you, who won't. Don't make them feel that. Include them in your Love.
This diwali don't just increase Diabeties, Pollution and your Credit Card bills. Increase smiles.
Spread Smile....Spread Happiness !!

Vanilla or Chocolate

Some articles really makes a lot of sense . This one is one of them . Someone had shared on facebook

"Is this the girl you are going to marry?"
"Yes dad. Isn't she pretty?"
.
.
"She is dark. I can't even see her face clearly."
"It's a dark photograph dad. Trust me, her face is visible enough."
.
.
"Where is she from?"
"Panjim. Goa."
.
.
"Definitely not Sikh. Hindu?"
"Atheist, but yes, her parents are Hindu."
.
.
"Hmmm... Can't she use fairness creams? You are milky white. You both together will look like a black and white film."
"We will look good together, like a chess-board. Don't worry dad."
.
.
"Will you feel comfortable taking her as your bride back to our hometown? Beautiful Sardarnis back home in Jalandhar, and here you are stuck with this black girl."
"Chill dad. You want some ice-cream?"
.
.
"I shouldn't. Diabetes. But I guess one scoop won't do much harm."
"Vanilla or chocolate? Okay sorry for my stupidity. Vanilla of course?"
.
.
"What? No, I want chocolate."
"But vanilla is what you must have dad. It's white."
.
.
"What difference does the color make?"
"Exactly dad."
~ Abhijit

Exactly why do we judge so much by the skin of the person . Its high time we make a change in  the way we think and live

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." -

Each one of us should sacrifice the animalistic tendencies and not the animals. Eid Mubarak!
-Sri Sri

Domestic Violence

I personally know people who are   victims of  domestic violence . Its such a shame in a  developing country  like India . As per Wikipedia ,Domestic violence (also domestic abusespousal abusebatteringfamily violence and intimate partner violence) is a pattern of behavior which involves violence or other abuse by one person against another in a domestic context, such as in marriage or cohabitation .Usually its the women who is targeted .

I request any woman who is reading this  not to tolerate domestic violence in any form and any man reading not to be the cause for the same.

“NEVER EVER STAY IN AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR CHILDREN. That is the worst thing one can ever do. It is better for a child to live with one Good Parent than two frustrated, screwed up ones.”
